Coming very soon.... Put it in your letter to Santa...
"When my parents split up I started drawing pictures of gravestones
in a church near my dad’s (I know it is weird, get over it), and here is where
I met Beth. But I soon found that Beth was no ordinary girl, but she was in
fact a ghost. I am not talking creepy ghost, the kind that puts a curse on you,
but just an ordinary person really. I soon learned she was being chased by some
nasty piece of work, and I soon realised there was only me who would be able to
help her.
Not only was I going to try to save her from her hunter, but
also try to help her move on, go into the light, and all that. Not much to ask,
seeing as I was a teenager, was it! In the process I would learn that the
‘unknown’ was pretty clear, and that some men can be more evil than anything
conjured up by the wildest of imaginations.
So… I met a Ghost is a sometimes creepy, sometimes funny
short novel for young adults by author Paul McAvoy. A page-turner… you will not
want to draw breath until the last page is read…"

The story collection Cold Skies is selling quite well, thanks everyone for buying a copy on Kindle, if you did. Just working on three projects at the moment, an adult horror novel, a screenplay, and am proofreading and generally preparing a Young Adult horror book for Kindle in time for Christmas, so make room on your list to Father Christmas...

A few bits...
I have been writing a screenplay and that has kept me a bit busy of late.. more news to follow.
I have also been dabbling in the world of E-Books. My first venture might be a collection of short stories... Again, more news to follow...

Midnight In Hell
It appears that the website Midnight in Hell is down and no links are working, which means that the links to my stories there on my About Me page don't work. Hopefully this is a temporary thing as it is a great site for horror stories...

A blog of three stories
Well, over the last few days I have sent three stories off to various zines and anthologies in the hope of finding a home for my little tales of terror. I am pretty proud of my little 'babies' and hope they have a safe journey. I have referred to them as 'babies' and that is what they are in a way, little creations which start with a gleam in the eye, and sense of fulfilment when conceived, followed by a time of worry and nurture before we are ready for them to flee the nest...

A New Year
Happy New Year!
Well, 2011 was a pretty lean year
for me, publishing-wise. I did not suffer writer’s block much, but I guess I
channelled my energy in the wrong places. I wrote a children’s book which I
ended up not too happy with and decided to write with getting published in
mind, as opposed to writing for fun. I sent one short story off to be
considered for publication and got it rejected. This year I have decided to
write what I want to read and get back on the adult horror which I enjoy
writing. I am putting the finishing touches to a story now, and I hope to get
it published in 2012.
See you all more in 2012… I hope…
